The project takes place in the city of Camboriú in northern Santa Catarina, located in the Vale do Itajaí region. Due to the constant transformations in the territory that change the dynamics of water in the hydrographic basin over time, the city of Camboriú and Balneário Camboriú begin to suffer from the shortage of water, floods and pollution of the main river and the only one to supply both cities .The urban maritime area of Balneário Camboriú was almost entirely covered by rivers and lakes. The project seeks to bring the Camboriú River back to the population, which today has a negative character due to the constant pollution it receives daily, the floods that occur in lower areas of the city and the lack of contact due to the physical distance related to dense vegetation and the feeling of insecurity.
We also sought to improve water quality through the use of phytoremediation plants and with water management strategies as a natural measure. Intending to configure spaces with vegetation to promote leisure and recreation, and thereby awaken the interest of residents in preserving the river. In addition to making it possible for people to use the structure of the water quality improvement system as equipment in the park, such as paths or recreational areas. It was also our aim to create activity areas that have greater movement where the space itself allows the creation of activities. The park also provides intimate places of tranquility and rest, where people can have more contact with nature, enjoying the natural environment such as fishing, meditation or even a picnic.
